Ace Music Director and Singer Shankar Mahadevan kicks off the Season Finale of the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 2!
Mumbai, August 2014: The second season of radio’s first ever singing talent hunt show – the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice has reached its finale. Every semifinal stage across the nation saw a battle among the contestants, one with the drive to win the credit of being the nation’s BIG Golden Voice – the voice that, to its credit, will get to win the chance to work with singing maestro and judge of the BIG Golden Voice Season 2 – Shankar Mahadevan, in his next Bollywood film! The announcement of the season finale saw seasoned experts from the entertainment and music industry like Suresh Wadkar, Vaishali Samant, Kavita Seth andBhawanaSomaaya join him in his quest to encourage the finalists.
Owing to the enormous popularity that the first reason received, the second season of the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice kick-started with over 91,000 entries from across the country in its auditions round. Now, the show witnesses its last stage – the finale round. Through various parameters of judging by the biggies of the music industry across the country, the finale has narrowed down to a battle between 12 extremely talented individuals, each with their own set of strengths and weaknesses. The finales come from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Agra, Chambal, Surat, Guwahati, Hisar, Jammu, Marwar, Chandigarh and Rourkela.
Speaking of the talent that has been shortlisted from season 2’s beginning till its finale stage, Shankar Mahadevan stated, “I am astounded looking at the talent that exists in our country here. The event saw the announcement of the season’s finale and also brought to the fore the 12 finalists who will compete to win the title of the ‘Benadryl BIG Golden Voice’. Shankar Mahadevan also spoke of the various parameters and judging criteria that will be followed to select the final winner.
The event culminated with an on-stage performance by the 12 finalists of the Benadryl BIG Golden Voice Season 2 who were later on joined by musical maestros Shankar Mahadevan and Suresh Wadkar. The evening saw the veterans pave the way for a successful musical journey for the future singing sensations in India
